AN INSIDE-OUT APPROACH TO DESIGN

At Patcraft, we approach sustainability and product design from the inside out, connecting our inner spaces with our outer world. Inside-out design lets us create spaces that mimic the outdoors in aesthetics, sustainable materials, light, texture, and flow, leading us to design products that combine transparent materiality and inner beauty while enhancing our world.

We are keenly aware of the impact our built environment has on our overall health and well being and were the first manufacturer to have a Cradle to Cradle Certified® flooring product, and the vast majority of our carpet portfolio is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver. This demonstrates our commitment to material health, product circularity, clean air and climate protection, water and soil stewardship, and social fairness. And for more than two decades, we have continued to expand our relationship and involvement with many other organizations, including the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, the International WELL Building Institute, mindful MATERIALS, International Living Future Institute and Health Product Declaration Collaborative. Additionally, all of our commercial soft surface flooring offerings are manufactured in carbon neutral facilities. All of this work helps us advance toward continuously better products — allowing us to transform spaces not only through design, but also through products.

Exploring materiality. Supporting the human experience.

An inside-out point of view for transforming space.

MATERIALITY + ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT = TRANSFORMATIVE SPACES

With an inside-out approach to design—one that connects our inner spaces with our outer world—we’ve expanded our mindset. Addressing transparency and authenticity, process and materiality, this point of view shapes our innovation in both resilient and modular collections. From the materials we use, to acoustics and biophilic design, we create products that offer meaningful solutions for the people who use them most.
